Dear Parents We take you back to my circular in December 2011, which intimated that services of Mr Mustafa has been terminated due to gross misconduct. The School has some stringent policies, especially for the male staff, with regard to physical proximity with children while they undertake their tasks (touching/supporting physically). After repeated warnings by way of counselling and memos, when it was found that Mustafa continued to touch girls while he guided them through their sporting activity, his services were terminated forthwith. The action was taken to preempt any complaints that may arise from parents and also because as a School our moral values did not subscribe to his manner of working. There was no culpable incident whatsoever that required Deens to report him to the police. Please be assured that Deens holds the safety of its children and staff as priority and any misconduct/deterrent to that is not tolerated on this campus. The members of the PSA are working closely with the School to review safety procedures. Kindly refer your suggestions/concerns to this forum.
