Dear Pocono Plateau Supporters, I hope you are enjoying your fall! We’ve had a full and blessed season at Pocono Plateau, and we couldn’t be more grateful for your faithful support. Because of you, lives are being changed. Because of you, people are deciding to follow God’s path, listen to His Word, and share it with others. To continue our ministry effectively and strengthen our skills, our staff leaders have an opportunity to attend an important conference at the end of the year. Gratefully, Glendon Greetings, This December, professionals across the country who work in camp and conference center ministry will gather in Colorado Springs for Christian Camp and Conference Association’s national event. Hundreds of member camps—which collectively serve about 6 million people annually—are invited to bring their staff and board members for three days of learning, inspiration and idea-sharing. I’d love to have the team from Pocono Plateau join us at this conference. I believe the investment in them will pay off both in the long and short term. And I’d like to invite you to invest in their training and equipping by providing a scholarship for one or more staff members. Often camp leaders feel isolated; many are burnt out. Some are trying to figure out how to solve a significant business or ministry problem. Others are experiencing good times and are looking to impart helpful knowledge to others. The Christian Camp and Conference Association (CCCA) national conference is the place where they come together and get refocused, recharged and equipped. The estimated costs, per staff member, are $750 for travel and accommodations, and $519 for the registration fee. Your financial assistance would mean hours of practical training and much-needed inspiration, spiritual encouragement, multiple opportunities for valuable networking and problem-solving, and fresh ideas for strengthening operations, maximizing ministry and saving money.
