Dear Politicians, do you really want us to believe that reforms will bring economic growth again? Yeah, I know, you have to do your job, you need to persuade yourselves before you persuade others, plus you need to justify your salaries, so please keep going and do what you are good at but I can read economic data and although I can’t really say these informations are reliable , as nothing really is nowadays, statistics are still incapable of showing economic growth. On the other side however unemployment keeps advancing and government debt cannot be contained. Yes, I am talking about Europe, the real Europe, not Germany…. Do I blame the Germans? No, why should I? If I was born rich would I want to be poor? Now, somebody says we should go the American way and ECB should be more aggressive on our economical policy, some say we should implement reforms and tighten our belts waiting for things to get better. Truth which no one obviously like to hear is that neither solutions would work, this situation has no solution but getting poorer by creating bigger social differences which means destroying the middle class, which means the countries gets poorer and closed to the middle age. In other words I am confident in saying that 30 years of bad governance are responsible for this situation and now the Politicians want the new generations to pay the mistakes done in the past. Now, if I was a successful entrepreneur and I wanted to grow, get wealthier, which means create jobs and opportunity for the ones around me and therefore help my country where would I go? Italy, Greece, UK, US? Well, I don’t think I have to answer that question. So, successful people with money and ideas will move to certain countries, and all the others will be left behind. One country gets rich, one country gets poor. Patriotism? Yeah right, I don’t mind paying tax but I want to make sure this tax will go for my own benefit and for the benefit of my family. In most EU countries collected tax is only used to repay debt, it is a huge legalised Ponzi scheme! In a perfect world my tax should go towards services such as healthcare, building public infrastructures for the benefit of everybody. My pension contributions should be segregated for my future retirement benefit and why not, invested according to my investment guidelines, but guess what, this money is all going down the drain. What makes things worst is that when we struggle at doing our job, because it is clearly an impossible mission, we start stealing money from our own citizens, we create more bureaucracy, increase taxes, blame tax evaders and find pretext to use the hard line to sanction our own small and medium businesses which are the real food for the economy. In other words, we become self destructive and destroy our own economy. Has anyone ever though how can certain countries live well and tax a lot less than others? Easy, they have no debt to repay. So, if I was born in Italy and not in New Zeland, should I just pay more taxes because….. Did we crave for Globalisation? now this phenomenon will make it easier to migrate again, and guess what? Europeans are migrating more and more every year and this will not stop. One step back for those who want to loosen monetary policy while politicians make reforms and think in a couple of years we will all be healthy and young again….. wake up! the USA is doing economic stimulus since I started my first job and they have a slight to decent growth but look at their total public debt…. It grows at higher rate than US GDP, so what does that tell you? It is unsustainable. What’s the solution? Only one, let reset the counter, we will all get pourer for sure but if we do not make the same mistakes again perhaps in a few years we will all be better….or….. keep living on top of our bubble and pretend we can last forever which will eventually crate more social differences and when we least expect it the bubble will burst and Lehman will look like a grain of sand in the desert, or lets continue to exploit countries that can’t defend themselves, lets manipulate people through the media, spy our behaviour, take away our privacy, destroy our lives, lets live the real Truman Show!
