Dear Potomac State Students, Faculty & Staff, This year, the Student Involvement Office, the Social Justice Council, and Dining Services have teamed up to organized Potomac State College’s 1st Annual OXFAM Hunger Banquet! We would like to formally invite you to attend our banquet, which is scheduled for next Wednesday, November 12th, 2014 at 6 PM in The Davis Conference Center. Not sure what happens at an OXFAM Hunger Banquet? “When guests arrive at an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet, they draw tickets at random that assign each to a high-, middle-, or low-income tier—based on the latest statistics about the number of people living in poverty. Each income level receives a corresponding meal.” bit.ly/1uwTGSH There is no cost associated with attending, and there is no need to RSVP. Everyone is welcomed to attend (including family members), but please be aware that there are only a certain number of seats available (which means people will be sitting on the floor -- but do not worry, that is part of the event!).
