Dear Preacher/ Gospel singer, Once again, I greet you in the name of The Lord Jesus Christ, my Savior. My question for today does not necessarily have to be answered, it does not matter, however, it would have been asked already. Whether one takes a laxative to remove its effect or not, it would not matter, still. Are you in it for the love of money or for the love of God? I am sure, you know by now, the difference between the gift and a calling. You do also know that someone can be gifted and not be called. Someone may be called and be gifted as well. I am sure you know the difference between the music industry and the fields unto harvest, I may not need to unpack it for you. - Where were you sent? Or, did you just go? - Are you waking up to the same inspiration as before? - Has the love of money and substance become the focus? Due to the love of money, many cannot preach against the gay and lesbian lifestyles, ask Joel Osteen and many more. A woman in Limpopo has chosen her own path, in what she calls ministry, leaving her husband, in pursuit of a money-producing anointing, like many preachers we know. Preacher, you even have a line of business people prayed for every Sunday morning. You also pray only for those who tithe leaving out those who do not, hopeless sinners! Others have taken their ministries to a higher dimension by selling miracle water and selling bottles of the anointing oil from such and such a place. Has the word of God suddenly permitted this? Or, is there a text somewhere that some of us have not seen? The musician can no longer be found in their congregation anymore, it has been months since he/she ministered in the house where God has planted him/her. You are moving from pulpit to pulpit with your stack of CDs for sale after performing a song or few. All you pray for is for God to prosper your endeavor, what happened to the fishers of men mandate? Mukokie, do you not know that they who preach the gospel must live off it? Yes, I do. I also do know that, we are not to love money. I also do know, God only spoke of mammon in comparison. I also know a whole lot more. Can we not learn from this? Genesis 39:23 KJV [23] The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because the Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper. It is God who prospers a person, not our efforts. Deuteronomy 28:1,8,11 AMP [1] IF YOU will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. [8] The Lord shall command the blessing upon you in your storehouse and in all that you undertake. And He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God gives you. [11] And the Lord shall make you have a surplus of prosperity, through the fruit of your body, of your livestock, and of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. Prosperity comes from God alone. His blessings adds no sorrow. Is it out of love for God or for money and materialism? Have I become your enemy because I tell you the truth? Galatians 4:16
