Dear President Obama, When will you cease turning a blind eye and a deaf ear to the cries of the Ukrainian people? You are the President of America, the freest nation in the world. You are the President of a nation which struggled for independence and stood up to the oppressive British Empire. You are a black man and your own people struggled and fought for their freedom from oppressive slave masters. When will YOU stand up to the oppressive regimes of the world? When will you choose to stand for what is right? Sanctions have been your tool to stand up against other nations, but they do not work. President Putin and his cabinet continue to laugh. They are getting away with murder...literally! And you continue to do nothing. Ukrainians citizens in Slavyansk are dying as they sit in their homes waiting for the war to end. Innocent orphan children are being kidnapped and taken to Russia by Russian soldiers. Russian tanks are coming across the border as you and your cabinet speak to Russia and ask them to continue to be peaceful. The Russian government are not peaceful people. They are a disgrace to humanity. They do not desire to live in peace, they desire to dominate. In the last few months, they have taken Ukrainian sovereign territory. They have funded terrorists. They have threatened Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden and Moldova. It is not peace which they desire. They are bullies, cowards and terrorists! It is time that you, President Obama, speak up and use not only strong words, but decisive action to punish Russia. It is time to level economic sanctions, ban Aeroflot Airlines from flying to the USA, stop ALL trade with Russia, ban visas to Russian citizens (even innocent ones) and punish Russia until she falls to her knees. If you squeeze tight enough, the Russian people will ultimately be grateful as it will empower them to rise up against their oppressive regime of Vladimir Putin. Until the Russian people have had enough of it, they will not rise up against Putin. It is time to squeeze the nation until it cannot breath and then, and only then, will the Russian people rise up and overthrow the government. Mr President, it is time you stand for FREEDOM.
