Dear Professor and Mentor: Wow! I have to admit that was powerful - TopicsExpress

Dear Professor and Mentor: Wow! I have to admit that was powerful and inspirational. It was motivational beyond what I had expected. I wish it was a requirement for all Professors to be as you have demonstrated in your insight, sensitivity and sensible approach to my struggle. Thank you for showing empathy and solutions to my never-ending complexity to transform my struggle into gold. I believe education should be in this type of direction. The motivation, inspiration of a Professor becomes a Coach like Mentor relationship that empowers a scholar for progress regardless of the size of the leaps--as long as there are traceable steps made in the right direction. Thank you for the solid and uplifting responses. I do feel overwhelmed by this program, but you as a Professor and my Mentor seem to make the cross worth carrying. This class is taking everything out of me to produce what I am producing, but I do love the coaching and mentorship that I am getting from your insight and experience. Excellent quality I cannot deny that. I wish I could count on this in the rest of the courses. But, I am already drained by two courses, and I am struggling for a rhythm and consistency. I just feel as though I am not getting the systems built that I envisioned. I feel like I have to read the text to catch up with my peers. Instead of feeling ahead of the game, a leader and an inventor or scientist, I feel like I am buried in learning a new system rather creating one. The introduction course seemed to be heavy as well, and I was inspired by the first Professor and Mentor, and now you. But, I have to admit, I am literally drained from giving my all, and feel still as though I am not making the mark--short from my own high standards and expectations to build this system for the marginalized populations. I want this system to be ready for the populations if the welfare system, and other human service systems are removed from our societies and economies. At times, this program seem to keep me wondering if I can keep up; I just feel like what I am constructing and inventing is so unreal and too costly. Yet, I remain faithful to this dream that seem to be a seed from so long ago. Thank you! I will miss your coaching, mentorship and expertise. Thank you Professor for your valuable time and thoughtful expertise (response). ~keisha *******
