Dear Quardu-Gboni Kas My hat off to the leaders and people of QUARDU-GBONI in Liberia for standing up against the prowlers whose agenda as indicated in the way they are conducting the LCC deal to acquire our home land to be dubious. How can a government passed an agreement for a land belonging to a group of people without the knowledge and participation of the people? Deals such as the LCC’s in Liberia must not have a place anywhere in the civilize world let alone Liberia (Freedom). We heard the deal was concentrated on Sarzarno and now the new agreement in the house is said to contain the language “”The Quardu-Gboni district”. While we are awaiting the document for review and analysis, the Quardu-Gboni Citizens in Liberia have smelled the bad whiff of the LCC deal. Our people need our support and they are requesting our participation and support in our fight. If this is not a conspiracy to steal the land belonging to the citizens of Quardu-Gboni, the LCC deal should be considered a bad omen and suspended until full investigation is conduct and the deal is vetted according to the laws of the land. While, will the LCC deal language be modify overnight to include the entire district? To include the entire district? That should send a chill in our spines and let us smell the scent our people have and stand up in support against this LCC deal until proven otherwise. Remember, “town trap is not for rat alone”. Recommendations: 1. An urgent conference of all citizens in the Diaspora with one agenda, the LCC deal held in the next 7 days and or ASAP 2. Demand a complete transparency in the vetting process including full participation of Quardu-Gboni kas 3. Ensure that the district vote against all the politicians that voted for this deal. 4. Peacefully oppose the deal through regular publication in local, national and international media 5. Petitions the government of Liberia to stop the LCC deal pending a full and impartial vetting of the entire process 6. Pursue litigation against the LCC and others involved. Finally, starting with a conference to brainstorm at this point in time and add voices to our peoples’ in Liberia will be a good beginning. We challenge the leadership to be steadfast in this process because the document is in the supposed to be final stage for adoption into law. If we do nothing at this point in time, LCC plantation will be at our fathers and mothers doorsteps in Quardu-Gboni, which can lead to land crisis God forbid.
