This is regarding the review of a classical concert by Gbaby Sreeram ( I was blessed to be her student ) in a sabha at Trivandrum. In the news paper ,the reviewer has written this way.. Unfortunately the vocalist failed in bringing out the innate nature of the raga bhava in her rendering .. In the attached audio Sreeram sir is asking about the Bhairavi raga to the review writer and he openly admits that he dose not have much knowledge about the ragas also he hasnt learned music too. Now the question is if a person has no basic knowledge of music how can he decides the success and failure of a raga rendering ??? Writing reviews of this stature kills the genuine music.
