Dear Reader… I can definitely say that this has been a different kind of day…unplanned by me but planned by God! I’m glad that He knows what needs to be done because without His helping hand; I wouldn’t have a clue, as to which direction to take. As my day began; I was getting set up in my office, to begin my work and as I was setting some things on my daybed; I happened to look out the window and I’ll tell you; I had to take a double take because I was looking at a huge limb, on one of our trees that had toppled down during the night and it was a good section of the tree. The first thing I thought; was how this could have happened, when we didn’t have any storm. As I quietly left my office; I noticed that Keith was awake; so I went and told him what had happened. We both got our shoes on and went outside and there was this huge limb; bent over on the ground. We thank God; that it didn’t land on the house or take the fence down. The only thing that Keith and I could think of was that we had a bad wind storm a few days ago and maybe the storm had weakened that side of the tree. After starring up at the tree, for a short time; I needed to get to work; so I came back in the house but Keith stayed outside; to see what could be done. I’ll tell you…Keith’s health hasn’t been at its best at times but God was truly with him this morning, as he took an electric saw and cut up the limb. My office window faced the backyard, so I kept an eye on him, while I worked. One thing you must know about Keith and me; is that we definitely work on the strength of God and we have found out that there is nothing that we cannot do, when we have God holding us up. Once my morning schedule was pretty much complete; I took a break, while I waited for my director to come online and took some iced tea out to Keith and then once my meeting was finished; I took some more tea out and some boiled eggs for both of us and we sat on the loungers and that gave Keith a chance to take a break. From there, I went back to work, while Keith continued to work outside. After watching him for a while; I decided to lay my work to the side and go outside and help him; so here I was, in a summer dress, with tennis shoes and work gloves…what a sight…lol. While Keith finished cutting the limb; I picked up piles of sticks and began to stack them, at the back of the yard, by the fence, which now gives our place a lodge look for sure. By noon, we were just finishing up. I’ll tell you…it was quite the job. As Keith put away the tools; I came inside and made us some lunch and then we ate, after Keith came indoors. It felt good to relax and cool off, as this was a very warm day. After lunch; Keith had one or two things to do; so while he finished; I went back into the office and began my work, as I am having two e-books released tomorrow, on amazon. I needed to do a couple templates and get the books set up on my web site, so people could find them tomorrow. By the way…before I forget; the books are going to be regularly priced at $2.99 but for tomorrow only (my birthday); I have decided to give both books to you, absolutely free. This special will only last for one day (July 30th) and then they will go back to their regular price of $2.99; so if you’d liked these great devotion books; look for the links tomorrow that I will be posting and as my gift to you; you can get both books for free. Once everything had been set up and prepared for tomorrow; I decided to go in the kitchen and make a special birthday treat, for tomorrow. You may say…Diane, aren’t you going out for dinner or isn’t Keith buying anything special for you? This year, I have decided to take all the money that would be used on me, for a special birthday and give it to someone in need. You see I don’t need anything and I’m very content with my life and I would be much happier on my birthday; knowing that someone else is happy too; so this is what I have chosen to do. Any ways…back to my birthday treat…I made a low-fat white cake and after I am finished here; I am going to take some rainbow sherbet and spread it on the cake and freeze it, for a nice cool treat tomorrow. You may not know this but the rainbow, is a very special symbol, in Keith’s and my life. You may not believe this but just before God called us into this ministry; we were walking in a field with our dogs and as I looked down, on the weeds around us; the colors of the rainbow, were crossing both of our feet, which I never thought I’d ever experience; so now you can see why the rainbow means so much to me. It’s a promise; that God is always with us and that truly brings peace to my heart. After making my birthday treat; I began to make dinner and from there; Keith and I decided to sit out on the loungers, under a tree in the backyard and have dinner. Wow…was that ever refreshing; in fact, I didn’t want to come back in. There was a nice soft breeze out there; which made a great ending to my day. Now, I am enjoying a great visit with you, while I enjoy some good music and an iced tea. I hope that you have also had a good day and I also hope that you will join me tomorrow; as I celebrate my birthday and the life that God has blessed me with! For now…take care and always know that God is there for you and when you call out to Him; you will find Him…for He is only a prayer away. Bye for now…see you tomorrow! Blessings on your day… It’s Always & Only Because of Him… Diane K Chamberlain (Founder/Author & Director of the Diane K Chamberlain Ministries) dianekchamberlain
