Dear Reader, Peace and blessings be upon you I have opened a facebook account few years ago, and this message which appears to be on your screen is my First personal Status. Last year, 2013, I had the honour to meet a man of dignity, a man of value, a man of exhortation, a man of piety, a man of asceticism, and above all and all – A man of Morals. Morals which RasulAllah (s) has said about: I was not sent But to perfect your morality. For all those who know him on a personal level will be satisfied after knowing that this man is none other than His eminence Sheikh Jehad Ismail. After meeting such a humble character, I met something else alongside him which irritated me and many others. I met fitna from our own people. ill speech began to rise from right, left and centre. I have three simple messages. One for those who character assassinate him. The other is for those who love him, and the last message is for Sheikh Jehad Ismail. For those Who speak ill of Sheikh Jehad Ismail: It bereaves me to write this to you because I know you try your level best to be a shia, like we all do. It bereaves me because I have to refer you to a book which you follow, called the Quran: “Fitna is worst than murder.” It bereaves me to know that you say Ali Wali Allah yet ego of your soul has directed you to practice nothing less than what the enemies of Imam Ali (a) did. The enemies of Ali failed to win His obedience to God, and failed to win Him in battles and wisdom, so they had only one option: to spread rumours and to curse Him for years on pulpits. Now ask yourself, have we practiced the Quran by keeping away from Fitna or have we practiced the teachings of the enemies of Ahlul Bayt? Keep in mind, In the same way Imam Ali’s status was never lowered by the enemies nor will anyones status be lowered by your fitna and ill speech. If anything, it will only destroy your own humanity. Sheikh Jehad will remain as Sheikh Jehad. If there is anything you don’t agree with, I am certain, He will be the first to accept you to His heart. If you are sincere with yourself, Your Lord and Your Imams, then verify what you say by simply asking him. For those who love Sheikh Jehad Ismail: Students of Sheikh Jehad in Sydney: My advice to you is to keep this man close to you. There are people all over the world, like myself, who wish to be in your position where I can have the honour to sit his lessons weekly – learn from him and lift my spirit to get closer and closer to my Lord. Take all that you want from Sheikh Jehad and He will give it to you. But I ask for one thing: give back what he has given you and that is Sincerity. Do not allow peoples talk to shake your certainty about Him and never be afraid to defend the truth. I’ll leave you with this narration to tell you about the gift you have in your hands: “An Ansar of Medina came to the Holy Prophet (s) looking perturbed. He voiced his bewilderment thus: ‘Ya Rasool Allah (s), if there is a funeral ready for burial and a lecture is being delivered on teaching a useful skill simultaneously, and I can attend only one, which of the two has a greater right on my attendance?’ Rasool Allah (s) said: “If there are people to bury the dead, you must attend the lecture that increases your knowledge, because the reward of one such lecture is better than attending 1000 funerals, visiting 1000 patients, 1000 nights of prayer, 1000 days of fasting, 1000 dirhams given in charity, 1000 non-obligatory Hajj, and 1000 non-obligatory jihad. There is a world of difference between all the above and one session spent in a scholar’s company. Do you not know that only knowledge leads you to worship God, and only knowledge teaches you how to worship God? The good of this world and the next is aligned with knowledge, just as the evil in this world and the next is aligned with ignorance.” To Sheikh Jehad Ismail: I will not write an advice for you because you are not in need of it nor will any of what I write will give you your rights. You are a humble servant of God and all I want to tell you is this: Pride yourself in suffering what your Beloved Imam, Ali ibn Abi Talib (a), suffered. Remain firm and steadfast in your hard work and preaching in the way of God and be certain that there are people in this world who will always look up to you. God Bless You My Sheikh
