Dear Representative, I am writing, to all Representatives in Springfield, in regards to HB5425 and asking you to please vote yes for it. Another Bill is being presented by Rep K Burke which will throw Family Courts back into the Dark Ages. It is time to move forward and help Children and Families, not hinder them. Parental Alienation and False Allegations , have long held sway in our Family Courts. Children are swept under the proverbial rug and more times than naught used as pawns in nasty custody battles. More parents are bled dry, trying to fight tooth and nail for the chance to even see them let alone be a part of their lives. Four days a month is not enough time for Parent/Child bonding. Allowing Alienators to continue their hateful crusade of twisting the childrens minds into hating or fearing their non custodial parent and his/her family MUST STOP!!!!!! It is Child Abuse! I wish you could read all the stories I do from Target Parents and Families all over the World! As a Children and Family Rights Advocate/Activist, I deal with them on a daily basis! As a nurse of over 30 years, I have witnessed much, especially in the Private Duty arena. I have had opportunity to see Family Dynamics at their best and worst! I also see what Alienation does to the Elderly ,who wish only to be a part of their grandchildren and great grandchildrens lives and memories. To deprive them of this is Elder Abuse. I fight against that too, as a Human Being, Nurse and Board of Directors member of the Central Illinois Agency on Aging! The Elderly are the foundation for the future which is our Children! I also have witnessed it on a personal level, as I am an Alienated Grandmother fighting for my son and granddaughters Rights. Imagine if you were reduced to my situation...Hidden Waves and Silent I love yous! You wouldnt like, believe me. Imagine pulling a beloved absent grandchilds presents from under the Christmas Tree because it hurt your son or daughter so much that they cried their eyes out to see them there and not their child!!!!! Please read HB5425 and consider that children deserve to have both parents in their lives. Keep in mind that many parents lie about abuse and more when facing Family Courts! Consider the fact that suicides are increasing among children and noncustodial parents who have been pushed over the edge, all because our Justice System fails or refuses to acknowledge them. Consider how much violence and poor behavior is in our schools and cities among young people. Go into a few of their homes and see how many come from broken homes where children have been victims of hatred and brainwashing from an Alienating Parent. Alienation is no different from bullying. A parent who bullies and threatens a child into turning from the other parent is creating the next generation of Bullies and Alienators. Thank for your time. Respectfully yours, Mary Prayne
