Dear Residents June has certainly been a busy month for clinics. Fortunately, our government’s robust efforts to address the haze problem have borne results, and with rain helping to provide some relief. We can hope for clearer days ahead. Meanwhile, I urge you to strengthen your immune system, rest well, stay healthy and get regular exercise. On this note, I am pleased to inform you that there is a new nurse clinic at the Wellness for Life @ Nee Soon South, staffed by experienced nurse practitioners. They specialise in family health care and provide advice for common chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, wound care, and post health screening advice. The nurse clinic can help to increase access to care and provide cost-savings for low-income families. If can’t make a trip, you may telephone or email the nurses should you have non-critical questions on health issues. The nurses will review your questions and refer you to the appropriate professionals, if necessary. You can write to: emailanurse.nss@gmail. Or, call the helpline tel: 6482 7050 which is operational from 9am to 12 pm on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Moving on to security, I would advise residents to keep your new bicycles in your flats to protect them from getting stolen. Also, get the bicycles engraved by the Police with the unique serial number for identification. These labels are given free at any Neighbourhood Police Post. July will also be a special month of Ramadan for Muslims who will begin their month-long fasting in the run up to Hari Raya Puasa on 8th August. I wish all Muslims a holy and blessed Ramadan. Also, National Day is just about one month away and we have some exciting plans for the residents to mark the occasion. There is a National Day dinner on 3rd August, a flea market and Super Sunday getai on 4th August, and a National Day Observance Ceremony on the morning of 9th August. Please join in the celebrations with your neighbours. And, of course, do remember to show your patriotism and love for your nation by displaying the Singapore flag at your homes. Let’s us turn Nee Soon South into a sea of red and white! I look forward to seeing you at our community events! Er Dr Lee Bee Wah MP for Nee Soon GRC Advisor to Nee Soon South Grassroots Organisations 电邮地址是emailanurse.nss@gmail 。
