Dear Rick , There is a great weekend in store at Perk Avenue. Friday night August 23, local squirrels invade the Perk! No kidding, the Squirrelheads, perform New Orleans style jazz in the funkiest way. You are guaranteed a great time with these guys. They have been with us before in bits and pieces on special occasions. Tomorrow night we officially welcome the full band, beginning at 8 pm. We are expecting a blast! And a crowd! On the menu, is something for every palette. Perk Bistro Filet Steak with Baked Potato, Shrimp n Grits, Stuffed Portabella Mushrooms and Wild Rice, and Mediterranean Salmon over Linguini.....Pair those with a long list of great salads and appetizers and top it off with dessert.....Dinner starts at 6. Call and reserve a table folks! We are already about 3/4 booked out. You want a seat! There is a cover charge of $7 for this great evening of entertainment. Saturday, August 24, The Grassland String Band takes the stage at 8 pm. This is a Bluegrass-Folk Acoustic Band.....performing throughout the Southeast. It is a different style on a different night, but still a great band. Bar specials from the kitchen begin at 6 pm. Again there is a $7 cover charge for this performance. Perk Avenue is more than a great cup of coffee....although it is that! We have great music happening every Friday and Saturday, with great food and friends. Come join us. Your table is waiting!
