Dear Robin, I never met you personally and yet I will miss you. You were the only one that had to experience your heart and mind every moment of every day and only you knew what that was like. I trust that if we could have seen your emotional pain physically on your body, we would have seen unimaginable wounds that even the ICU wouldnt know how to fully mend. From what I understand, you tried many strategies for many years to get help and to heal. Your lifes passion was bringing joy to others even while experiencing your own sadness, to me this is fundamentally loving and selfless. I can only believe that hope for your own relief eventually just ran out. Im hoping you are in a space now that you can feel all the love for you. I am so grateful for the laughter, goosebumps, tears, and delight that you brought to me and the world. Because you were Robin Williams, you werent able to have Robin Williams in your life the way the rest of us did. You continued to give us priceless gifts, the types of gifts that made us feel happier and better about life. My hope is that we can give back to you now by honoring and celebrating your memory, just loving you and having compassion in our hearts, and saying thank you for showing up as long as you did.
