He went on to record six records and tour the world with Davis numerous times over a four-year period. He then toured and recorded with John McLaughlin and the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Herbie Hancock, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Steps Ahead, and Mick Jagger, among others, garnering a few Grammy Awards along the way. Since 1990, Evans has been touring almost exclusively with his own band, playing well over 100 concerts worldwide per year. He has recorded 19 solo albums including his latest, Dragonfly (2011), receiving two Grammy nominations in the process. Throughout his more than 20-year career as a solo artist, he has explored a variety of musical settings that go well beyond the confines of traditional jazz, including rock, hip-hop, jam, fusion, soul, and slamming funk. As the son of guitar legend Larry Coryell, he has distinguished himself as having a unique voice all his own. In addition to touring with his own band including many support dates with B.B. King, Murali has played with Buddy Guy and toured as a featured artist with Larry Coryell and Joe louis Walker. Murali was inducted into the New York State blues hall of fame in 2013. He is featured on the Soulgrass Cd “ dragonfly and “ live in Moscow “. Mitch has been touring and recording with Soulgrass since 2010. Joel Rosenblatt has been one of the top session drummers of the past 20 years. As one of the most in demand drummers , he has played and recorded with pianist Michel Camilo , Steve Kahn, Paquito D’Rivera, Freddie Jackson and Eliane Elias and many more. Joel joined Spyro Gyra in 1990, and recorded and toured with Spyro until December 2003 when he left to pursue other projects such as Steps Ahead with Mike Maineri, The Blues Brothers, etc. Joel toured with Soulgrass from 2006 to 2010 and is now returning to Soulgrass for this exciting tour of Russia and Europe. He is a current member of Blood sweat and tears , the iconic rock band. Bassist Dave Anderson has performed and recorded with numerous artists in contemporary jazz, pop, R&B, folk, and world music including Art Garfunkel, Blood Sweat & Tears, Michael McDonald, Paquito DRivera, Patti Austin, Taj Mahal, Ashford & Simpson, and many others. .
