Dear SCORPions, What an amazing experience! I am back in Malta after the intense and wonderful SCORP Camp we had in Guimaraes, Portugal, from 8th to 12th September. I could not be happier with the results that we achieved. I want to thank my co-trainers Diogo and Helena, and our 10 participants Anais, Salma, Emir, Silvia, Anne, Maryana, Vanja, Maryla, Patricia and Rita. This SCORP Camp did not just cover the basic skills and knowledge any SCORPion should have, but went on to explore the emotional and empowerment aspect. We covered main topics like Human Rights and the Universal Declaration, Mental Health with a site visit to a volunteering centre which helped gain a practical insight, the Right to Health, Peer Education and Responsability, Medical Ethics, and went into a number of deeper sub-topics concerning minorities and vulnerable groups. All this was made more meaningful with a lot of self reflection and sharing of experiences. There was so much to learn that we were always left wanting to have more time! I want to thank all those who made this possible and I encourage any interested SCORPions to consider organising such events.
