Dear SVCC staff, friends and former colleagues I feel I can no - TopicsExpress

Dear SVCC staff, friends and former colleagues I feel I can no longer hold back my deepest outrage and share the following with you in the hope that you might join with me in making a stand against Harvest. I feel this administration is seeking to influence its own interests, long before it services its community, its congregation or the students whom we have all given so much time and care to. I am sure you share with me concerns of abuse of power, of leadership, of trust and of respect that is happening amongst the school at the moment. In taking the time to step back to review the situation, I can no longer hide the realisation that the leadership of Harvest is calculating a methodical cleansing of the school, to remove people of moral integrity and those with whom have values, Christian values, which are not in line with those leading Harvest. I have been strained by people who have continued to walk over others, yielding relentless power against others, whilst at the same time declaring their loving and humble nature. A “ humble nature which does not exist that I ask you to stand against. I am sure that you would join with me of the perception of clear favouritism for all those that align themselves with Harvest and how much this nepotism has blossomed since the previous Principal left. I understand that the pastor has declared his view that these dealings are a part of Gods love, a part of God’s plan or God’s cleansing of the school. But I argue differently. I argue its the Pastors cleansing! I argue that the design is not pure in faith, it is not orchestrated with love and compassion and care, I argue that the actions of the Pastor and newly instilled Principal are absolutely done in conscious greed of power. The checks and measures to ensure that abuse of power doesn’t happen have been skipped, the board is filled with those complicit in their schemes and any who dare question their motives are forced to depart. I have witnessed many steps of the machination to get as many influential people from Harvest into influential positions of the school and in the process, get rid of anybody that doesnt conform to our ways. Ultimately such actions lead one to the perception of SVCC suffering a transformation at the hands of Harvest, a transformation of Cultish nature. I example the level of deception being recent events where school staff have had their jobs advertised, seems harsh to read in the paper of your position being vacant, especially when no one has indicated on any level that your position was vacant. Surely a school board would ensure that before putting positions in the paper that there was an ethical approach to ensuring that staff leaving were informed and options provided to them before notifying of vacancies? It brings to question what working for SVCC will look like into the future, or if positions are being vacated to ensure positions for those chosen by Harvest! Its deeply concerning to see how many jobs are being advertised for next year and it is clear to me that a change in culture, a change of organisational proportions is taking place and I find it tragic to see the school being torn apart by the people who are supposed to be making a difference. There’s really only one God that the Pastor of Harvest worships, and that seems to be himself! I am sorry to report that the schools reputation within the wider community is being impacted. It’s not surprising enrolments are down and will only continue to decline as more and more people become aware of the stupidity and craziness that is rampant at the Morphett Vale campus. It stands to reason that with such poor administration and less enrolments that the level of service being offered is impacting our students . It is important to note that some year 12 subjects are being cut for next year and teaching contracts are not being renewed. It’s frightening that whilst a church is being built up a school is being torn down. I would like to commend Ian Bartsch as one of the best leaders in that school! He is an honourable and decent man and quite frankly he is the only person I would trust on the leadership team as it stands! If you still truly believe that God’s favour is on the school, its not! The only favour raining down on anyone there, is the people that have left! Everyone that has left the school or been made redundant” (and the number is rising) in the past 12 months, have all gone on to positions far greater and better than anything they were doing at SVCC. This is a clear indication of where God’s favour is. I would urge you to think about what is happening within the school, I would ask you that if you are not happy with the way things are, please make a difference and get out now. This is the best way to make a stand and show that you are not in support of what is happening. Don’t allow your doubts and fears to control your decisions, these people don’t deserve your loyalty and they are powerless. I am sharing this as a result of my love and care for the school, for the community we have been. This decision does not come lightly and is something I have thought long and hard about. I stand tall in freedom knowing that they dont serve the same God that I do. Sincerely in peace
