Dear Sarah Palin; Gosh, weve had a good run, havent we? Youve been a lunatic and Ive been able to take your inarticulate babble, your theocratic gobbledygook, your pandering winks and your blatant hypocrisy and spin it into meme gold. But heres the thing. I think its time to say goodbye, at least for a little bit. Like saying something is like Hitler, or pasting Grumpy Cat in a meme, you and your transparent grabs at attention have become tired and old. And youve become a crutch that Ive leaned on too long. So, at least for a little bit, I think its time for me to see, comment and verbally wail on somebody else. Anybody else. Some other up and coming lunatic who speaks first and thinks things through later. There is no shortage in your party. You were ground breaking, sure. But so was Friendster, and I dont use that anymore either. You have become the what part of the chicken do the McNuggets come from of political memes. You being a dimwit and - for the sake of argument thinking tort reform has something to do with baking - isnt enough to merit coverage anymore. Its not you. Its me. Well, okay… its me realizing its you, but still. Youre irrelevant and, in my own way, by still talking about you, Im not letting you go to move on to the next thing youll be doing… …which is working at a Hobby Lobby, or Chick-Fil-A. Run for Senate? Run for President? Shoot somebody using stand your ground? Thats different. But just blather something stupid? Thats fish in a barrel and I fear my muscles are atrophying. So for now - barring you doing real damage or doing something above and beyond the pale - I will leave mocking you as the Snowbilly grifter that you are to others. I will challenge myself not to reach for your dimwittedness like a glass of whiskey after a long day. I will quit you. I dont wish you ill. But I do wish you obscurity.
