Dear Scotland, I am writing to advise you that independence is not going to work for you. Of course being a totally independent small European nation worked exceptionally well for Denmark you see, and for Norway, for Finland, and for Switzerland and many others, but its not going to work for wee Scotland, youre not capable of generating anything like as much revenuem however charming and quaint your folk dances might be, the resources of your land are not worth as much as exactly the same physical resources elsewhere even though you have far more of them - not to mention your populous, who obviously cant and dont work as hard as these other, successful independent nations. You are much better off having a smarter friend looking after you, making sure you dont spend all of your pocket money at once, deciding most of your opinions for you - so that you dont look silly in front of all of our big and very important friends. Poor wee Scotland, we feel for you, we really do: dont go outside alone, youll never survive. We are only saying this because we selflessly and genuinely care about fairness, equal opportunity, and especially you, the charming people of Scotland and your future.
