Dear Scott: I went on a first date with a guy last weekend. Everything was going great and I was really liking this guy, until the end of dinner when he looked down at my plate and noticed I hadnt eaten half of my sandwich and asked if he could take my left overs home. I thought he was kidding and laughed, but when the waitress came back, he asked for a box, reached across the table and packed it up. He told me he hated the thought of wasting food and would eat it for lunch the next day. He admitted he has even asked other people in restaurants if he could take their left overs home so they wouldn’t go to waste. Not only did I think it was rude that he was paying attention to my food rather than me, but how gross is it that he actually would eat leftovers from other people. Would you continue dating someone who took your leftovers? Have you ever known someone who acted like this, especially on a first date? What is your advice? - Scott Alexander bit.ly/Yp3SG8
