Dear Sen. GNS Pwajok (1) As a son of Plateau State whom you - TopicsExpress

Dear Sen. GNS Pwajok (1) As a son of Plateau State whom you seek to govern in 2015, I intend to be addressing you in a series of letters in the days ahead so that I might assuage my conscience that if I vote for you, I did so for mine and my childrens future. In this first letter, I want to begin by congratulating you over your recent victory at the PDP Governorship in which you became its candidate for the 2015 General Elections. Sir, I would have been profoundly astonished if you had NOT won the primary election. This is so because it was rumored, perhaps fittingly so, that you had the Financial Arsenal of Plateau State Government behind you as personified in our Governor, Da Jonah David Jang. This, I believe gave you comparative advantage over the other candidates. Also, the delegates sorely needed all the money PLSG could dole out to them to ensure your candidacy. I know because one of them, a younger cousin of mine from Pankshin, had been in the labour market since graduating from the University some seven years ago, and he has wife and kids. I was with him at my younger brothers wedding ceremony yesterday and I could see that the delegate money he got for voting you transformed him into a nice looking, classy young man. I sought to know from him why he voted for you, and other than the financial gain, he had nothing tangible to tell me. That instantly told me that you really need to educate us why you MUST be governor of Plateau before the General Election. Now the main reason for this first epistle is to inform you that you MIGHT be Governor come May 29th, 2015 and I feel that you must put a leash on some of your foot soldiers, especially those who have been deployed to Facebook. Sir, you are suave, humble, urbane, polished and remarkably intelligent, but some some of your supporters are NOT doing your campaign any good. They have not learnt the act of magnanimity in victory. They have become too garrulous, loud-mouthed, insultive and downright disrespectful when someone dares to say anything negative about you or your principal, Governor Jang. They now brand anyone with a contrary view from theirs as a Berom hater. Sir, dont be surprised to see them call me unprintable names because of these discourses I intend to have with you in the days ahead. Sir, it is my sincere opinion that your foot soldiers know that you are NOT yet the governor but are pretending not to know. They may turn other people against your candidacy especially when they flaunt lies to us that Berom are 40% of the entire Plateau population. I have nothing against you and your ability to be Governor. I just think your people may turn you into a victim - first Dara Jang drafted you into a political race you obviously wasnt ready for, at least not now. And secondly, your Facebook soldiers are not doing a good job of selling your programs to the electorates. If you fail to make it, hold these facebookers guilty. Next time, I would talk about Debt profile of Plateau State and the purported document called the Du Declaration. Thanks and God bless you, my dear Sir
