Dear Sir / Madam, Greetings from the Sheikhupura Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI)! We have been informed by the Secretary, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) that FPCCI is sending a high level Trade Delegation to Vietnam under the leadership of Mr. Zakaria Usman, President FPCCI to promote bilateral trade & economic relations, explore new avenues for joint ventures and expand our exports to Vietnam which is a fast emerging market. In order to make the maximum use of the visit the program is being made on the sidelines of 12th Vietnam Expo 2014 scheduled to be held from 3 – 6 December 2014 at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. Some import information given hereunder for kind perusal - Vietnam Expo: Vietnam Expo is the largest business fair in Vietnam that would focus on many areas such as machinery and electronic, vehicles and spare parts, food and beverage and home living etc. The last addition of Vietnam Expo 2013 attracted participation of foreign and domestic business, investors, economic and trade organization from 13 countries. More than 8,800 trade visitors and 4,500 members of public visited the exhibitions halls last year. Potential Market: The program of delegation is being made to provide opportunities to Pakistan companies to make inroads in Vietnam which economy has been growing by leaps and bounds over the last 5 years, despite recession plugging the entire global markets. Bilateral trade relations b/w Pakistan and Vietnam: Over the last 5 years Pakistan’s export have also increased 5 times and at the moment stands around US$180 Million. However, exports touch its zenith in 2012 when our exports were around US$225 Million. This year also we expect the bilateral trade figures to reach around US$ 500 Million which Pakistan’s export to reach the mark of US $ 250 million. Potential areas identified by Pakistan Mission: Keeping in view the demand in the local market the Pakistan Mission in Vietnam has recommended that the Pakistani companies of the following sectors have bright prospects in Vietnam:- • Surgical instruments Poultry / Meat • Health care materials Tannery • Sportswear / Sports goods Commercial banking • Marble Paints • Gems & Jewellery Infrastructure • Pharmaceutical Telecommunications • Seafood / Fish & Fish preparations Ceramics • Beadwear & Towel Fruits • Rice Prepared Masalas • Molasses Agribusiness • Raw wool Auto parts • Construction materials Tourism • Information Technology Consumer electronics • Engineering goods Shipping It has been further informed by Pakistan Mission that Vietnam has denied the Chinese imports due to South China Sea perspective worth 35 billion US $ 2013. In this scenario our exports can find a plausible place for increase. Besides attending the 12th Vietnam Expo’2014 special arrangements are being made with the cooperation of our Mission for the meetings with Federation of Vietnam CCI to have second round of FPCCI – VCCI Joint Business Council, Meeting with Ho Chi Minh City CCI followed by B2B meetings/Networking with Vietnamese companies and with other concerned quarters including trade associations. Those members interested to join FPCCI Trade Delegation are requested to submit their applications by 17th October’2014 with the following documents. 1. Personal and Company Profile. 2. Personal and Company Bank Statement. 3. Field of interest. 4. Chamber / Trade Association and NTN Certificate. 5. Export Performance Certificate duly verified by your bank. 6. 4 Passport size Photographs (color) of Applicant. 7. Photocopy of the passport (First page). 8. Participation Fee of Rs.15,000/- in favor of “ Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry which also include membership fee of Pakistan Vietnam Business Council of FPCCI . The FPCCI delegation is also likely to visit Taipei Taiwan proceeding from Vietnam. The final dates will be communicated to companies interested on receipt of their applications.
