Dear Sir/Madam, The TIES Center cordially invites you to the the following events: 1- Quran Quotes and Tafseer class by Hassan T. Bwambale on Monday March 10th, 2014 at 7:00pm. After reading Qur’anic verses aloud and explaining them very briefly, Hassan will explain the various connotations of some words and phrases to show the literary beauty and miracle of the Qur’an. The class will involve an open discussion in a casual, relaxed setting with the aim of reflecting and pondering verses from the Noble Qur’an, as well as learning how to recite them. On Monday March 10th, we will concentrate on Surat Al-Bayyinah (The Clear Evidence). If you are interested in the class, TIES Center is the most appropriate place to visit on Monday March 10th, 2014 at 7:00pm. 2- A lecture entitled, How to exceed the expectations of others, By Dr. Moosa Al-Mazeedi on Tuesday March 11, 2014 at 7:00pm. Exceeding the expectations of others is a new area in management. Expectations play a great role in our life. There are some sayings of our Prophet PBUH that classify this fact. It you expect good endings of any activity then you get them. Optimism is part of good expectations. Come and discover more about this modern topic on March 11, 2014 at 7:00pm. Dr. Moosa Al-Mazeedi holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State university, U.S.A. Currently he is an associate professor for the department of Electrical Engineering at Kuwait University. He is a member of the International Federation of Automatic Control, Kuwait Computer Society, Kuwait Society of Engineers, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. He has been very active in his field since the early 80s. He is interested in research related to Optimization, and Reduced Order Models. 3- A course entitled, Marriage Make-over, by Darlene Wakim that will begin on Wednesday March 12, 2014 at 7:00pm. Darlene’s course will be about recognizing the differences in the male and female brain, and how it affects our relationships and understandings with one another. Darlene is a qualified psychologist, with a Master’s Degree in Communications and a BA in sociology. She is currently working for the Kuwait counseling Center.
