Dear Sons & Daughters, Happy new year 2015. I hope this message - TopicsExpress

Dear Sons & Daughters, Happy new year 2015. I hope this message finds you well and happy. For those of you who begun the year in a bad tone, I say sorry but pray for you to recover. Allow me begun the 2015 with the following words of wisdom about a FOCUSED LIFE: There is nothing more powerful than a focused life. The more focused your life is, the more you will impact not only your self but also other. Hence the respect you will earn from those around you is determined by your focused life. To be a focused person, you have to set GOALS for your life for instance; When and for how long you will be studying, get a job, get married, buy land, build a house, go for further studies, buy your first car, etc. Remember as you set goals, they say TIME IS MONEY. This implies that every time you loose, you are loosing money! To those of returning at the Main & Lady Irene campus, we thank God that you are back. My prayer for you is that you get focused knowing very well that other course mates in other Universities (including Kampala campus) are focusing on the next Semester! With the competitive Ugandas job market, you need to set goals NOW. About 40,000 students in Uganda are in the same year of study like you (i.e, 40,000 First years, 40,000 Second years, 40,000 Third years, 40,000 Fourth years). Comparing the 2,000 students at both the Main & Lady Irene campuses who went on strike, this represents about 1.25% of the total University students studying this year in Uganda, and about 22% of Ndejje Universitys students population this year! The mathematicians and statisticians can understand why this data is vital in goal setting. Great academic achievers have had this saying; I applied to attend this University alone, I came alone, I will leave alone and I will face the world alone. I want to thank those of you who sponsor your selves for the had work, I want also to thank the Parents/Guardians who have endured and brought you this far academically. I pray that we respect their struggle, their commitment and love for you that has seen them fore go all the good/enjoyments so as to give you a better future. Now that you are back, my advise to you is that you sit down, revise your books, hand in all course works, write your exams and set goals for the next Semester. I have been praying for you and I continue to do so, that the Lord enables you to see your future. Be cautioned that not all your colleagues at campus have goals. So be wise to handle them with caution so as not to divert you. Remember our motto: As for you Goshen, Ill deal with you differently. God will deal with us differently even in your planning, reading and exams. I wish you success sons & daughters. I love you all dears, Dad Patrick.
