Dear St. Marys Family - Have you ever wished you could take seminary style courses and learn more about our Holy Orthodox Christian faith? The Midwest Vocations Program of Kansas City, overseen by the Midwest Diocese of the OCA, is a six semester program leading to certification in Orthodox Christian studies and vocational ministry. It is suitable for diaconal and catechist training as well as for other vocational and general interests. It is open to all Orthodox Christians. The Midwest Vocations Program has successfully completed its first semester, and we are pleased to announce that new students are welcome to join the program this coming Fall. We will continue our study of Christian practice, focusing this semester on classic texts and topics of Orthodox asceticism and ethics. · Classes will be held Saturdays from 1:30- 4:30pm at Holy Trinity starting September 6. · The cost for each semester is $300 plus books.
