Dear Students, During the upcoming BIFT 55th anniversary, BIFT will hold the first International Youth Design Exhibition (IYDE) between 17th – 31st October 2014 at BIFT, Beijing, China. The exhibition is aiming to provide an international platform for education, industry profession and designers to exchange and communicate. Designing in 21st century will be interrogated during the exhibition. What role does history play in regard to cultivating new designers through education in contemporary time. The IYDE, established in 2014, is aiming to integrate national/international academic resource, industry originations and fashion driver in order to consolidate Designing in daily essentials. Possessing the theme of ‘The Future of Now’, this series of activities contain 6 parts: •Dynamic & Static Exhibition • 14℃ design week on China youth design forum • Avant-garde fashion designers dialogue • International workshop • Shadowing a Designer (SAD) • The design research exhibition of traditional Chinese blue calico technology organization: Host: Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology If any body interested let me know.
