Dear Students, Lecturers, Staff and Fans of this great institution. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared the November 16 Anambra State Governorship election inconclusive. According to the commission, this is because the margin votes between the highest scorer (APGA) and runner up (PDP) is less than the number of registered voters in the areas where results were cancelled. The commission stated that though APGA polled the highest number of votes, the party cannot be declared winner. The returning officer of the election who is also the Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar said that he will not return anybody and declared the election inconclusive. Meanwhile PREMIUM TIMES and some other private media outlets were expelled from the final collation centre where the following results were compiled. INEC officials also used dogs to chase journalists around during the period.
