Dear Sujata ji, I want to ask you whether the Nepali Congress party is your personal or family property that it should be obliged to give an election ticket to you. There are serious corruption allegations against you; you are deeply unpopular (except among your cronies) and you have misused power instead of handling it responsibly. Despite losing elections to the Constituent Assembly in 2008, your father - former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala - conspired in elevating you to the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, a farce unprecedented in our two decade old democratic history. During your tenure as Foreign Minister in 2009-10, the Machine Readable Passport scam emerged. During the 1990s, you and your family were responsible for the Lauda scam, leading to loss of millions of dollars to the national exchequer and the subsequent demise of the then Royal Nepal Airlines Corporation, which has not yet recovered from the scandal. Please retire gracefully from politics and let capable, sincere and dedicated young people with a vision for the country take over the reins of the Nepali Congress. Nepal and her people surely deserve better.
