It is now our pleasure to inform you of the following information. NERTs vision, To be the longest (220 kms), and the highest (4488 ft) rail trail in Australia and Southern Hemisphere, a serious and significant tourism mecca for the Northern Tablelands region and the state of NSW. Our proposal includes Armidale regional airport, Armidale train station, UNE, and every village, town, group and community north to the Queensland boarder, even the graziers! See Page12 (photo). Big, ambitious, I hear you say.... We can do it. Supportive groups just to name a few, Airport user groups, NSW farmers local branch, Local governments, multiple MPs and MLCs, Regional Development Australia, Schools, Hunter New England Health, NSW Ambulance, Westpac Helicopter service, Southern New England Land Care, Service Clubs, Commerce Associations, Multiple Tourism bodies and YOU. WE NEED MORE......thousands more, just like YOU! We need your friends and theirs, and the WORLD to make this happen. The Government (personally delivered), now holds our proposal and we need them to understand how important this is to our region! Our corridor has been left vacant for quarter of a century now and turns 130 years old on Tuesday! LETS ALL GIVE IT A PRESENT, a NEW LEASE OF LIFE for the future of PRESERVATION, HISTORY, TOURISM and our CHILDREN.
