Dear Syracuse family. As some of you may know the Federal government has been looking into sending some of the migrant children at the Border to Syracuse because of overflowing detention facilities. This has been the subject of a national battle where some communities have welcomed these children and some have protested them in awful ways. Some of us found out about a local anti-immigrant group which will be protesting near the sites where these children might be detained this Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM at the corner of Court St. and Grant Blvd. Were scrambling to organize a peaceful counter-presence.
