Dear Teachers and Other important office people, We dont have - TopicsExpress

Dear Teachers and Other important office people, We dont have printers, we dont have fax machines, we dont have scanners. These things are ancient technology that need to die. Stop hiding links to important documents that must be filled out. Stop having these documents be PDF format, a format that is licensed and terrible to fill out. If you want information collected in a labeled format, we have webpages and text boxes for that. We do not need to involve ink and paper into this. We know you are mostly used to it, but its slow and expensive. Nobody actually likes PDF and its unfair for you to be able to log into your licensed software and draw lines on a computer, but then require EVERYBODY to: 1. find what file they need (the list of information requested) 2. find the ACTUAL file (the weblink to the pdf) 3. download it 4. quest for a program to open it 5. figure out that editing pdf files is usually a pay service 6. look for a program to edit it 7. decide just to print it off 8. realize that nobody has had a printer since 1999 9. wait until morning and then quest for a store or a friend with a printer 10. quest to said location and finally print it out 11. fill it out by hand anyway, realizing that the whole process here was pointless 12. drive it in person back to the location 13. swallow tears because you could have just done the same thing, or whoever made the pdf formatted file could have just made it a different format and this whole process take about 60 seconds instead of multiple days, gas money, printer ink, paper, extra communication, buying of copy equipment, buying your friend food for using their stuff, the transportation time, etc. tl;dr omg i hate pdf
