Dear Team, August 28, 2014 I dont put prayer requests for other people on Jensens Update list very often. Im putting one on tonight because it hits close to home and its very urgent. A little boy in our town is very sick and he and his family need us to pray for them. Little William Bouma is 6 years old and his heart is very weak. His parents are Greta and Dave Bouma. William was just diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Hypertension after being ambulanced to Bellingham and then to Seattle Childrens. He was having an extremely difficult time breathing. He had surgery a couple days ago and suffice it to say it did not go well and the findings were not positive. Things we can do: Pray for Williams little body to be healed of this disease. Pray for his family to have a peace that passes all understanding. Pray for Gods will to be done. Gods will is always perfect. The Bouma’s will need meals in the hospital, water bottles, snacks and drinks. There are lots of restaurants close by that people can grab food at and bring to them. It’s an extra special treat when friends can bring a home cooked meal or sandwiches. We can give the Bouma’s Starbuck’s gift cards. Starbucks gift cards while your child is at Childrens are invaluable. Unfortunately, the only normalcy you get sometimes is running down to the Starbucks in the hospital to grab a coffee. It helps your sanity. All these things are so encouraging when you are discouraged and living in the hospital with a sick child. I appreciate all of you so much.
