Dear Thor: How dare you blame me that you had to take your dog to the South LA Shelter because my rescue did not have the room or the financial resources to take her. When we asked you if you would pay the boarding for your dog for 2 weeks, you couldnt/wouldnt do it. When we invited you to bring her to our adoption events, you didnt show up. You told me your job as an airline pilot was busy and hectic. You traveled a lot. Your roommate didnt like your dog - I said move, find another roommate. So tonight at 9:43pm when you sent me all those texts about how I didnt help your dog, that shes at South LA Shelter and I can live with that, I want you know that I almost never text back what I really think and feel - but I did. You live with it Thor. You live with the chances of your dog getting out of the shelter knowing that they are slim to none - that because she was scared and may have bitten someone at the shelter, she has less of a chance - you live with your selfishness, your pilots lifestyle, your not wanting to spend a few hundred dollars to board her with our rescue to keep her safe. You live with the fact that when the shelter kills your dog it was your doing, not mine. Youre a Coward. You live with yourself and I dont know how…and to your dog that I couldnt help because we dont have the financial recourses or a foster or the room, I am sorry - deeply and truly sorry. I pray that you will find a second chance at life with someone who deserves you. I pray you make it out of the shelter alive, well and happy…and if not, know that I work hard and fight to save the lives of animals like you every waking hour of every day. You sit in a shelter wondering what happened, what did you do wrong, where is your family…Your family is busy texting me, even right now, still texting me how its my fault you are there. You did nothing wrong…Like so many, you ended up in the wrong place. So again, dear, sweet, beautiful soul…Im sorry…and to you Thor, I hope that when you need help, a second chance at life, youre met with the same cold, hard hearted, ignorant and cowardly behavior…Shame, Shame, Shame on you…and stop texting me.
