Dear Tobago friends, just to avoid any misunderstanding. I did not start this group because the latest incident happened to a German couple, tourists, white people... Not for a minute did I think about this circumstance as making any difference. I am a proud citizen of the world and my children have the most beautiful cafe au lait coulour. And I would love them just the same if they were green or purple! This latest incident was the drop that caused the barrel to overflow, yes, and it was the immediate motivation to do something, yes. Because they were not nationals it might afford the additional opportunity to address the Embassy and the foreign ministry of the country that the victims came from, yes. But what is really counting here is the unconditional human and ethic aspect of the situation. It is the safety of EVERYBODY in Tobago (...in Trinidad and everywhere). We all may have different opinions about this or that aspect of the situation and what could/ should be done, but PLEASE let this variety of opinions not defeat the entire effort. Please do join this group and let´s add up to a strong number of people who love the island and want to see everybody safe. Much love. Tina
