Dear Tooth Fairy, I always loved you growing up, looking under - TopicsExpress

Dear Tooth Fairy, I always loved you growing up, looking under my pillow to find those magical, shiny coins that you shined up extra bright - right after I would go through the trauma of losing a tooth... But now I have a BIG PROBLEM we need to discuss! What the heck happened to you over these years? Example... My daughter was SO happy yesterday, got her tooth out all on her own...and came running down into my office with a beaming, now toothless smile... and was so excited! Her smile was brightening the room and touched my heart very deeply. but then her older brother (9 years, you know him) started saying things like, You know the tooth fairy doesnt come on weekends, right? 9 year old, Seriously, 3 times I lost a tooth, and she didnt come on a weekend. She only comes during the week! I disagreed with my oldest son...but started to realize that maybe I was lying to him to get my daughter to believe? Fast forward to this morning... My daughter comes to me in tears.... Holding a little tooth in her hands.... Can barely squeeze out between her tears - Daddy, the tooth fairy forgot to come! Why do you keep forgetting to visit my children? I know you dont drink, and while you eat the occasional sugar-filled substances... you and I both know that a sugar rush isnt the reason you sometimes forget to visit the Cardamone house. Im trying to cover for you, but Im not sure how much longer I can hold off my childrens growing database of your incidents of forgetting... I will do my best on this end, but will you please step up your game and raise your standards? Kind Regards - Jason Cardamone PS - I know youre overworked and I DO appreciate all you do!! PPS - I told my daughter, that you were probably busier last night, and ran out of time. There were probably other children that wouldve completely crumbled and not even have been able to go to school today...if they didnt have the emotional strength and intelligence of you! (referring to my daughter) She bought it this time...lets pick up the slack sista!
