Dear Travel Trade Colleagues, 11th. June is only 3 days away and we will go into the meeting with hope that we will arrive at decisions and not have to again go for other meetings for which there is no time now and we know that fraternity members across the country are waiting for an outcome of this meeting. Apart from the decision already taken by Mr. Goyal about fare parity in all respects [ whether same RBD with lower lower fare or different RBD than those showing on GDS ] { though we await implementation of the same }, the following agenda needs to be discussed and decisions taken on that day itself: 1. A fair and reasonable Commission of 5% on full fare of the ticket including all taxes [ they do get a 9% even on Government tax that we collect and remit to them and then they pay to Government AND on interline with another carrier ] 2. Implementation of Parity of fare across all channels [ as defined above ] 3. Credit card pass-through of all cards on all fare types, what with the impending weekly settlement setting in from 01JUL13. 4. Service Tax to be paid by the airline 6. Withdrawal of their GharPay service. Soon as the meeting gets over, we shall hold a press conference and announce the decisions taken in the meeting and the resultant course of action that the fraternity intends to take. We do hope that post our meeting, we shall have reasons to announce Jet to be our most preferred carrier and keep our promise to Mr. Goyal of making Jet # 1 in India in reciprocity. Friends, this is a do or die situation and we will give it all we have! It is not about victory..... It is about our survival and conducting our business in a dignified manner.
