Dear US newspaper editors, lets make sure we get this right, ok? If you have to quote some general talking about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, please be sure to use quotes correctly. There is no logical way that soldiers in those wars are fighting for freedom, so please be sure from now on to always use quotation marks. As in: The soldier was in Afghanistan, fighting for freedom. Second: Enhanced Interrogation is a euphemism coined by the perpetrators of it, and if you use it, you are simply demonstrating that you are playing their game for them. The correct term to use here, in all cases, is torture. Please also refrain from sentences like Interrogation techniques *which some have described as torture*. Its the same as saying The mildly warm ball of gas in the sky, which some prefer to call the sun.
