Dear Veterans and America, Someone has to stand up for those who - TopicsExpress

Dear Veterans and America, Someone has to stand up for those who cant and wont stand up for themselves when something is very wrong. We pride ourselves in how much we as a country support our veterans more than anywhere else in this world. Since when has corporate America made Veterans Day a Money making event? Have we officially commercialized Veterans Day?According to the twenty five families of Veterans I have had the honor of meeting tonight we have. We were all celebrating Veterans day with our veterans at Golden Coral in New Boston, Ohio; all with the intentions of the veterans eating for free, as advertised. I am astounded and disappointed that every veteran I met from WWII, Vietnam, Desert Storm and Iraq and Afghanistan had to pay for their meals and not at a discounted price. Upon entering Golden Coral we saw a sign saying all veterans eat free. When today I mean it is veterans day, Nope.. Nov 17th. I then spoke with the manager I asked him why lie? why the false advertisement? He had no reply not even a simple acknowledgement, not even a thank you to the veteran who was standing right next to me. I then proceeded to ask; sir what of all the families who are here with their veterans some even in wheelchairs, all celebrating veterans day on veterans day. Again nothing. Golden Coral Shame on you for using and abusing all those who have served to make sure corporations like you are sustained. All for your own personal gain. Again have we commercialized veterans days?? To all those we had the honor of meeting tonight and ate with, You didnt even get a simple thank you or a kind hello from this company, but I say thank you and I am sorry on there behalf. Happy Veterans Day !! Pictured are Some the military families and veterans. Sorry Golden Coral couldnt afford ten dollars for you to eat for free. Army, Navy, Airforce, Marines, Coastguards and Reserves.
