Dear WestJet, Prepare to receive a phone call tomorrow about the horrific experience at The #AbbotsfordAirport tonight at 7:25 to 7:45pm. Since when can you refuse to print a boarding pass because my son did not arrive 45 minutes prior to his flight to Calgary?... he was 20 minutes ahead of flight time for flight #106, 7:53pm departure. We arrived 20-25 min prior, there was no lineup, the kiosks were not working properly and he wasted several minutes there trying to print his boarding pass. He then went to your counter and your rude and smug staff (or owner) told us she was not able to print us our boarding pass because we did not arrive early enough?! He had no checked baggage, the plane was sitting outside the window, there was no lineup for security and you smugly and sarcastically told us we could pay an extra $78 to get on a different flight, now with a stopover in Edmonton... with the plane still sitting there... not leaving for another 20 minutes! This is Abbotsford for crying out loud, no line ups, no wait in security, we can walk to the plane in 35 seconds, we can see it out the window. While we sat there arguing, we were forced to listen to the announcements of now boarding.... for our flight.. we had to listen to Westjet flight to Calgary waiting for missing passenger XYZ....... multiple times, yet you sat there smugly refusing to do ANYTHING for those 15 minutes to help my son get where he needed to go. Cannot believe what a fiasco this was. Cannot believe that your staff member was so rude, sarcastic and mouthy. Cannot believe that an airline would leave a 15 year old stranded like that with no compassion, no effort, NOTHING. PS. The woman behind us in line who as treated the exact same (and refused her boarding pass as well) was just as impressed as we were. Thankfully SHE cared about my son getting back to Calgary and has actually watched over him via the stopover in Edmonton on the SECONDARY flight he was forced to take thanks to your horrid employee. UNREAL. #CustomerServiceFail #WestJet #ShameOnYou
