Dear You. The man I some day in the future no doubt will fall for, - TopicsExpress

Dear You. The man I some day in the future no doubt will fall for, regardless of my efforts not to. There is something you need to know about me. I am a knitter. Also, I design knitted stuff. This means there will be yarn, charts, knitting needles and other yarn related stuff everywhere in our house. Always. Now, heres the thing: 1. We never talk about the size of the yarn stash and you may never claim it is too big. Its not. And before you consider claiming such a thing anyway, remember that your favorite knitter is armed with a gazillion double-pointed needles. Also, if you do not mention the size of her stash, she will never complain about the amount of time you spend watching sports/playing video games/whatevere it is you do for fun/relaxing. 2. Everything we make is sacred and there are rituals. Like, for example, having the ritual that you always make a baby blanket for a newborn in the family, and that it is to be finished before baby is born. Once a knitter has established such a rule, she will go to any lengths to acheive that. And you will be expected to support and help her (remember the double-pointed needles? Yes, thats right. Also, she will return the favour whenever. Provided she isnt trying to finish a baby blanket on time). Okay. Now you may read the final episode on The Tale of The Baby Blanket, starring the Yarn Harlot, her husband Joe, an awesome woman named Martha, and tiny baby Myrie. And if you cant put up with stuff like that - dont even think about dating a knitter. yarnharlot.ca/blog/archives/2013/10/15/all_kinds_of_miracle.html
