Dear ZIN Members, As I sit here on this very snowy day(Thank God! My training is tomorrow!!)I want to address a Topic, that I see a lot on FB about What Zumba Continue Ed.Training Should I Take Next!? , Is It Worth It??, I Heard It Was a Waste of Time....... First - ANY type of Continue Ed. Training is NEVER a waste of time. As a matter of fact, if you have that type of attitude, I believe that is an indication that you shouldnt teach anymore. Being in the Fitness Industry for 26 years I NEVER STOP LEARNING!!!!! Nor would I ever want to Stop! Why? Because we can always better ourselves as Instructors all the time. Simple! Second - Which Zumba Cont. Education Training should I take? Guys, its an individual thing. Ask yourself?.....Right now what do I need to work on? Think back to when you took your B1 Zumba Instructor Training......Overwhelmed, and a lot of Practice to do!!! We dont have enough time to work a real lot on CUEING. Cueing is a HUGE part of a successful class,,,,hmmmm? Pro Skills could be next for you. Maybe you want to teach another completely different type of Zumba class.....Then GO FOR the Specialties!!!! Still not sure of some of the Core Steps for other Rhythms like Samba, Tango, Belly Dance, Flamenco, Quabradita, and Socco.....then get to a B2 IN THE END......I am going to quote BETO PEREZ(something he said while we were at the ZES Meeting last week) EDUCATION!!! Its where it ALL STARTS and it is your FOUNDATION to Everythig you do in your Career as an Instructor. The man knows what he is talking about.
