Dear Zane, Please keep me anonymous but I would like for you to post to Facebook because I want your followers opinions as well. I would just like to know do you think its normal for a woman in her early thirties to be single for ten years? MY RESPONSE: Sadly, it is becoming the norm but not for the reasons one might think. A lot of women actually opt out of relationships because of past hurts and wanting a man to treat them the way they want to be treated. I can understand the reasoning. My main character in The Hot Box, was like that in fact. She even left herself go physically so men would not even attempt to talk to her. My question to you is this: are you being open about your choices, i.e., looks, finances, race? Or are you dead set on finding some textbook example of what you feel is the perfect man? There are a lot of good men looking for a lot of good women. Men have damn near as many insecurities as women these days, though. Truly crazy out here.
