Dear all, Allow us to share with you an important development regarding the work of the Albanian Institute for International Studies (AIIS): For the third time this year, AIIS was listed among the best Think Tanks in Central and Eastern Europe. AIIS received this acknowledgment in the 2013 Global Go To Think Tank Index (GGTTI), organized on a yearly basis by Think Tanks and Civil Society Programs at the University of Pennsylvania. This years report was presented on January 22, 2014 in Washington DC, at a press conference hosted by the World Bank. The Index has become the gold standard for think tanks around the world and is widely cited by governments, donors, journals and policymakers as the foremost profile and performance of think tanks in every region of the world. The Global Go To Think Tank Index contains a series of global and sectorial rankings, organized on the basis of geographical location and/or thematic specialization, drawn up on the basis of an extensive, worldwide, network of contacts and consultations. AIIS is the only Albanian think-tank to appear in the ranking, which recognizes thus the long time commitment and quality of the Institutes research team and work.
