Dear all Congratulations to the players listed below on your selection in the GCDRU Emerging Talent Squad Rugby Program following Junior Gold trials conducted at Bond University last weekend. Whilst you were overlooked for Junior Gold selection, GCDRU recognises you as a player with development potential and therefore offers you the opportunity to be involved in our ETS Rugby program. The ETS Rugby Program will be co-ordinated by GCDRU’s Rugby Manager Heath Claydon and Development & Performance Manager Murray Archibald. The coaches of the ETS Under 17 squad will be Sonny Jobe and Greg Marsh with the Under 15 squad to be coached by Dale Ledger and Tony Hopkins. The ETS Rugby program Manager will be Phil Gould. All five are experienced Rugby people and have been committed to the development of young players, programs and clubs in our region for many years. The first session for the Emerging Talent Squads will be at the Sports Super Centre at Runaway Bay on Sunday 16th November from 8.30am-10.30am. At the first ETS session all program commitment details relating to training, program levy, kit and potential matches will be outlined. You will need to email ETS Program Co-ordinator Heath Claydon [email protected] by Wednesday 12th November to advise Heath if you are accepting the invitation to join the ETS Rugby Program. If you do not contact Heath Claydon by Wednesday 12th of November, we will assume you are not interested in taking up the offer and will extend an invitation to another player.
