Dear all, It is with sad hearts that Brigitte and I say goodbye to The Fu Bar. It has been a fantastic four years since we opened and we have really enjoyed serving all of you over that time. We really appreciate all of the support, suggestions, meals, fun times, drinking sessions, hangovers, laughs and fellowship that we have shared with all of you. We are moving on to new ventures in Taipei and unfortunately cannot foresee being able to run both ventures at the same time. Now before anyone panics, fear not! The Fu Bar is being replaced by The Scu Bar! The Scu Bar is the new home for Above and Below Dive Tours and they will continue to serve fine food and cold beverages on the beach. Nigel and his team are sure to be able to supply the same service levels and quality you have all become used to at The Fu. Additionally, you can now rent dive equipment, book a dive tour, get accredited, arrange tanks, etc ,etc right on the beach! So much easier to just take the train to Fulong than to have to worry about how to get to places like Long Dong. Brigitte and I will still be around, and will often still be working with The Scu Bar Im sure! Drop in and say hi this weekend for their soft opening, check the events page for details.
