Dear all, On a very sad note, I would like to share with you that typhoon Haiyan has hit the eastern city of Taclobana, Philippines on 10th November 2013. The storm is considered one of the worse storms on record and has destroyed homes, schools and an airport of the area. As the rescue work is proceeding it is estimated that around 10, 000 people may have died in the area hit by typhoon Haiyan and hundreds of thousands have been displaced. Survivors of the typhoon lacks clean drinking water, electricity and are forced to survive on a very little or no food. In this time of global tragedy Jagriti Child and Youth Concern (JCYC) Nepal and Eco- Social Development Organization (ESDO) Nepal would like to express its solidarity to the survivors and rescue teams and urge everyone to provide humanitarian assistance as much as possible.
