Dear all SNN members, As expected or should I say not a surprise for me & my family? Earlier last week, I had received a letter of good news from the Jurong Town Council that they had advised my neighbors (As shown in the photos of the elderly couple) that they are not allowed to burn their joss papers at the common corridor & will monitor the situation. Well, of course I dont give the letter a 100% of assurance that the neighbors will comply & true enough, they did it again on the 23rd of September 2014 @ 11:41pm which my wife has woke me up & even told me to take the photos of the neighbors of their good deeds in silent mode! Soon, this matter will be raked up seriously & Im prepared for it. At least on my side I have sufficient grounds that what they are doing is not being approved or allowed on the common corridor. HDB, NEA & Town Councils are the government agencies who told the residents that. Im sure there are people who will be in disagreement with me of why Im so particular of this very trivial matter & everyone has the right to perform their religious rights anywhere & anytime. Yes, I do agree 100% that everyone has their freedom but let me tell you all who had this disagreement with me: When you love your young kids, you will know that you have the responsibilities to keep your young ones safe. Likewise, theres also a need to have some common sense & consideration towards other people around you. Thats all. - James, Editor
