Dear all: as a follow-up to my (oh-so-mysterious) post implying - TopicsExpress

Dear all: as a follow-up to my (oh-so-mysterious) post implying that our days with my view from 33 being limited, as some of you know (but lots of you may not), I have decided that 18 plus years as a lawyer has been wonderful and that Thompson Coburn has been a great place to practice, learn and grow, BUT... it is time for something new, & if I want to do something new for any period of time, Id better get moving. So a few years ago I went back to school and in July I graduated with a Masters from Mizzous School for Information and Science Learning Technology, which is their fancy 21st century term for Library Science. I will be leaving the firm this month (with many heartfelt regrets, believe me) and hopefully launching yet another fulfilling career as a librarian in some capacity. I vacillate between excited and terrified, but am mostly excited to move into the world of libraries which I think are SO important in so many ways - they provide us with literature (I love a good read), information and access to technology, serve as a storage unit for our culture & do so much more. I am so lucky to have had many super-supportive family & friends in this endeavor, especially Andy & the boys who listened to me hem & haw (then hem again), supported my decision & (esp. the boys) helped me with my papers. They rock. I will keep you posted, and the good news is I have a great stockpile of views from 33 (I have a feeling I will have little or no view wherever I end up - but that is OK). Peace, Lisa
