Dear all cow lovers, A general impression is common among all that T.B. in cows is very prevalent and all milk must be pasteurized to make it safe. As early as in 1917-18, in IJMR Vol.V,1917-18, in a research report "The susceptibility of Indian Milch cattle to Tuberculosis" by Major W.Glen Liston CIR, MD,DPH,LMS -director ,Bombay Bacteriological Laboratory, coauthored with Dr. M.P.Soparkar M.D. it was confirmed that Indian breeds of cows are practically free of Tuberculosis. Same findings were reconfirmed in research report " The Relative susceptibility of Indian Milch cattle of various breeds to Tuberculosis" in IJMR Vol.13, 1925, by Dr M.B.Soparkar M.D. ( incharge of the bovine Tuberculosis Inquiry under the Indian Research Fund association from the Imperial Institute of veterinary Research Muktesar) Thus It must be understood very clearly that given good normal care Indian breeds of cows are free of Tuberculosis. In India Many cross bred cows have been detected to be having TB in Anand and had been isolated as per Times of India report published on 28th Sep. 2009. This fact along with the very compelling scientific evidence of A1A2 milk researches about BCM7 confirms that as laid down in Indian constitution directive principle 48, Indian breeds of cows and calves must be protected , and cross breeding of Indian cows with imported HF and other breeds should be stopped by Govt. of India in an executive order. .
